Clipboard is an Aussie startup that is helping schools, students and parents get much more out of their extracurricular activities. We’re looking for an Account Executive with software sales experience in EdTech to supercharge our growth 🚀

About Us

At Clipboard, our vision is that every student worldwide should have access to the life lessons and opportunities that great extracurricular activities provide.

We provide software to schools that enables them to run great extracurricular programs, and helps students and parents get more out of activities - from sport, to music, performing arts, outdoor education and more.

Clipboard is pioneering a brand new category in EdTech - the Extracurricular Management System (EMS) - like a Learning Management System (LMS), but for the stuff that happens beyond the classroom. Clipboard grew more than 3x in 2021, our product is used by close to 100 leading schools across APAC and 60,000 students and parents use the platform every month.

We’re backed by top VC firms such as Jelix Ventures and have graduated from Startmate, the top accelerator program in Australia and New Zealand. Now we’re scaling the app and our sales team, and growing into a global leader in the EdTech industry.

About you

You are an experienced salesperson who shares our passion for extracurricular activities and wants to make a positive impact on the future of education. An intuitive communicator, you are skilled at building strong relationships with key stakeholders. You enjoy all aspects of the sales process, from prospecting and qualifying leads, to closing sales and handing them off to our customer success team.

Your Skills and Experience

You have the following skills and experience:

  • At least 2 years of prior software sales experience, ideally at an education technology business. 
  • Knowledge of the education space, particularly K-12.
  • Passion for extracurricular activities and the life lessons they teach young people.
  • An outstanding communicator, both written (especially email) and verbal, with the ability to relate to others.
  • Comfortable with cold outreach and prospecting.
  • You are highly organised, self-motivated, and have a reasonable level of technical proficiency.

About the role

As an Account Executive (AE) you’ll be working in Clipboard’s growth team, helping us to acquire schools with a focus on the following core responsibilities:

  • Managing a pipeline of active deals from qualification to close
  • Conducting demos and successfully managing all phases of the selling process
  • Following up cold leads
  • Cold outreach and prospecting
  • Logging all communications in the CRM and ensuring it remains updated
  • Facilitating handoff to Clipboard’s Customer Success Team
